Here is a continuous post from yesterday of another great family AND kid-friendly restaurant. Jackson wanted to celebrate his birthday at Tokyo Wako which their known for the Teppanyaki. This type of cuisine is great because it’s nice for celebrations, one table can fit a large family, the food is delicious and accommodates everyone (they even have a kid’s section on the menu!), and everyone just loves to watch the chef cook.
If you’ve never heard what Teppanyaki is, it’s a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food in front of guests which is really entertaining, especially for kids. I love the onion volcano fire and when they do little tricks here and there like tossing shrimp tails and catching it in their hat!
Turn your attention to Jackson’s face! He looks scared, but he’s actually really excited.
For birthdays, they make the birthday girl/boy dress up as a Geisha or a Sumo Wrestler. Jackson didn’t want to wear it so daddy stepped in and wore it for him!
Do you have a Teppanyaki restaurant where you live? Try having your next family celebration there!
Have a Happy Friday and a good extra long weekend!
love,
auntie k
