Remember this post about my Ojai weekend? Part of the reason I went was because I coordinated Grace and Alvin’s rustic vineyard wedding at the Gainey Vineyard in Santa Ynez. Even though it was 140 mile, and 3 hour drive to get there, the details, the vows, the view, the wine, the love…it was all worth it! Not only was the couple so easy going and fun to be around, but their dog Buddy is the definition of a man’s best friend..or in this case, a couple’s best friend. He NEVER left their side (you can say he was the groom’s best man). Buddy joined them in all their photos, walked down the aisle in his bow tie and cuffs, sat with them at their sweetheart table, and even stood by their side during the first dance…if only he could have made a toast.
Another reason why I loved this wedding so much was all the little details and the DIY crafts the bride made. I love it when bride’s get crafty for their own wedding…it feels so much more personal and meaningful!
How perfect is it to have wine barrels as tables for a vineyard wedding?
I LOVED their idea of watering a lemon tree for their ceremony. It’s a symbol of them uniting and then they plant their tree behind their house and watch it grow every single day.
DIY succulent escort cards — Paint mini clay pots with your wedding colors and plant each mini succulent in each pot. Then finished it off with the a twine bow! Grace used this as favors for the guests…who wouldn’t love to take these adorable things home?!

DIY photobooth — Booths are so overrated! Make your own! The mountains is the perfect backdrop for this!
DIY Table #s — Paint a box with your wedding colors and hand write the table #s out.
The beautiful Bride and Groom..oh, and there’s Buddy!
I love outdoor weddings…especially with stringing lights! Makes everything so much more romantic and intimate.
